DO2 Technologies Inc., a software solutions company that optimizes financial and operational processes between energy companies and their suppliers announced today the latest release of its OpenInvoice™ solution, which automates and improves invoicing processes.
OpenInvoice is an Internet-based software application that allows suppliers and operators in the energy industry to collaboratively create and process invoices and field tickets. OpenInvoice automates paper-driven processes between suppliers and operating companies by automatically coding line items, tracking inquiries, resolving disputes and seamlessly linking spend information to corporate financial systems.
DO2 Technologies collaborates with its customers and their suppliers on improvements to the technology. Ongoing enhancements are based upon feedback from users across the organization – accounts payable personnel, engineers, field supervisors, as well as vendor representatives. These users have processed tens of thousands of invoices and provide insight to the daily function and capabilities of the application.
The newest version of DO2 Technologies’ OpenInvoice application provides full support for clustering and integration components of the application. Clustering delivers increased performance and increased availability of the application.
Another key enhancement relates to the business rules for the auto and manual coding of invoices. Enhancements in this area speed invoice processing time and reduce potential coding errors and ensure successful posting of approved invoice information directly to customers’ accounts payables systems.
“One major benefit of using OpenInvoice is the ability to capture spend by line item detail,” said Doug Spackman, Vice President, Development, DO2 Technologies.“ The application upgrade further enhances this ability by adding new spend analysis categories and adding new reports from which operations, financial and administrations personnel can analyze data in greater detail.”
“DO2 Technologies has a very aggressive initiative to bring more than 1600 suppliers into the system by year-end,” said Rod Munro, President & CEO, DO2 Technologies. “As we add these new suppliers to our system, we are continually adding new categories further enhancing the spend capture analysis. Additionally, we now support the importing of supplier goods and services listings – linking to our SSI (Service Supply Index).”
Suppliers and operators in the upstream oil and gas industry use OpenInvoice to collaboratively create and manage field tickets and invoices. The process automation results in significantly reduced costs, while the spend capture and analysis capabilities allow energy companies to work toward better relationships with their strategic suppliers.
DO2 Technologies delivers Internet-based solutions that automate and integrate financial and operational processes between energy companies and their suppliers. Our products simplify complex workflow processes and enable collaboration within and between organizations. Drilling, Production, Finance, Procurement, and Purchasing departments, as well as external service suppliers and partners all use DO2 Technologies solutions.
