DO2 Technologies Inc., a software solutions company that optimizes financial and operational processes between energy companies and their suppliers, today announced the release of its new Supplier Connect ™ module for its flagship electronic invoicing product, OpenInvoice™ .
With the release of Supplier Connect, SAP® users can now transact with DO2's supplier network-the largest supplier group in the energy industry consisting of more than 1800 suppliers. SAP users can continue to use the approval workflows within SAP if desired. This means that SAP users will experience virtually no disruption or change to their normal workflow processes. However, they will be receiving field tickets and invoices electronically directly from suppliers through Supplier Connect, providing SAP users with line-item detail without any additional work. With the delivery of line-item detail, SAP users can either take advantage of spend analysis capabilities within SAP, or they can use the spend analysis functionality embedded in OpenInvoice.
DO2's supplier network represents the complete breadth of the energy industry both geographically and by service type. Geographic coverage is throughout North America, and suppliers range from the smallest "mom and pop" regional suppliers to the largest multi-national integrated suppliers. These suppliers are already utilizing OpenInvoice to provide electronic invoices and associated backup information to a growing number of operating companies in North America. For the suppliers, there is virtually no additional work required to begin transacting with an operating company that employs Supplier Connect.
The seamless integration between Supplier Connect and SAP allows companies using the solution to benefit from all of the features of OpenInvoice. These include line-item data capture, online dispute resolution, spend categorization and analysis, and automated pricing reconciliation of invoice line-items to contracts.
By conforming to SAP standard interfaces, there are no custom point-to-point integration projects to build nor maintain. Supplier Connect tightly, seamlessly, and securely integrates with SAP systems, enhancing investments in SAP with rich functionality and content.
