DO2 Technologies Inc., a software solutions company that optimizes financial and operational processes between energy companies and their suppliers, announced the introduction of OpenInvoice Remote, a new application that provides users with the ability to download invoices from DO2's hosted, Internet-based invoice processing system and work on them offline.
OpenInvoice Remote enables invoice approvers the capability of reviewing and approving invoices on a stand-alone PC (not connected to the Internet), then uploading the processed invoices to the online system at a later time. The user may access the downloaded invoices in OpenInvoice Remote and approve, dispute or forward the invoices when not connected to the Internet.
"Due to the decentralized nature of the oil and gas industry, often users don't have access to the Internet on a continuous basis," said Rod Munro, President, DO2 Technologies. "With OpenInvoice Remote, users can still continue to manage their invoices while working offline, which means that they can be in charge of when and how they fit the invoice approval process into their day. Then, when they do have Internet access, they can simply upload the work that they completed while working offline. This provides an increased level of flexibility and improved productivity for field users."
