Digital Oilfield Inc. announced today that the company’s shareholders and board of directors approved a name change to DO2 Technologies Inc. DO2 will continue to provide all software and services as provided under Digital Oilfield.
The company enjoyed considerable success under the Digital Oilfield name. The decision came after the term “digital oilfield” became such a generic name broadly used in the oil and gas industry meaning a number of different things. The new name draws upon the company’s significant brand recognition as “DO” solutions.
“The renaming reflects our expanded mission of offering our leading software and services across industries,” said Rod Munro, President and CEO, DO2 Technologies. “Plus, customers in the U.S. and Canada already know us by our initials, so it was a natural transition."
In addition to a new name and a new logo, DO2 has launched a new website (www.do2.com) that has been designed to provide information regarding product and service offerings and corporate information.
